What is cereal, why is it healthy?



A kind of healthy food made from grains including wheat, barley, oats, buckwheat, corn, rice, etc. by cooking, crushing and drying. There are 2 kinds of cereals: hot and Ready to Eat (RTE). Ready to Eat cereal can be eaten directly with milk, yogurt, and is much more convenient;Whole grains or foods made from them contain all the essential parts and naturally-occurring nutrients of the entire grain seed in their original proportions. 100% of the original kernel – all of the bran, germ, and endosperm – must be present to qualify as a whole grain.
